English Diamond Shears

$420.00
  • Ergonomic Handle

  • Fast Action

  • D-2 Tool Steel

  • Non-90° Blade Geometry (wider bite)

These shears from a distance obviously have a silhouette that was inspired by English tradition. Upon closer examination the blade profile and geometry is very Putsch. The handles are inspired by old pre-war French shears that are commonly found in Murano and most noticeably seen on Lino’s bench until his retirement. The fulcrum stands out a bit and allows for a loose fitting of the blades which is inspired by the textile industry where shears were designed to be tightened after use and loosened before each use. The proud fulcrum allows the shear blades to stand off the work bench a bit, out of the way of wax and debris the same way they would stand off a pattern makers table in the textile industry. These shears are designed to fit comfortably in the hand and be opened and closed at full capacity by many different hand sizes with ease.

These high quality and highly functional tools are hand made one at a time per order in Pawtucket, Rhode Island. Each tool shows clean and visible signs of being made by hand and each is a unique object.

Tools are made per order and are selling fast, please allow some lead time for tools to be made and shipped.
